The decision was announced after reports of violations of ethical norms and international standards by the organization. The government also stressed that it would prohibit actions in relation to any organizations violating their obligations under international law.

An official statement on this issue has not yet been published. A representative of the Nigerien army stated that this decision was made in the interest of national security. Currently, the International Committee of the Red Cross has not provided comments regarding this situation.

"We were surprised by this decision, and we await an official explanation from the Nigerien government," said the representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
